Chance Partnership
These Terms of Service govern all services provided by Chance Partnership, whether accessed directly by an individual or indirectly via an agent, club, academy, parent, guardian, or other third party.
By accessing the website, making an enquiry, entering into discussions, or engaging services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Chance Partnership” refers to the player care practice operated under that name.
“Client” refers to any individual receiving services, including footballers.
“Referring Party” refers to any agent, club, academy, parent, guardian, or third party who introduces or facilitates engagement.
“Services” refers to player care, mentoring, wellbeing support, and related non-clinical services.
2. Nature and Scope of Services
Chance Partnership provides independent, non-clinical player care support focused on wellbeing, personal development, and navigating transitions within football environments.
Services are:
Conversational and supportive in nature
Non-directive and non-advisory
Tailored to the individual
Delivered on a best endeavours basis
Services do not constitute regulated advice, medical treatment, therapy, counselling, or crisis intervention.
3. No Medical, Clinical, or Regulated Services
Chance Partnership does not provide:
Medical advice
Psychological or psychiatric diagnosis
Mental health treatment
Therapy or counselling
Legal, financial, or contractual advice
Nothing provided through Chance Partnership should be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial services.
4. Emergency and Crisis Exclusion
Chance Partnership is not an emergency or crisis service.
Where an individual is at risk of harm to themselves or others, emergency services or appropriate crisis providers must be contacted immediately.
Chance Partnership accepts no responsibility or liability for managing or responding to emergency situations.
5. Eligibility and Authority to Engage
Services may be accessed by:
Footballers at any stage of their career
Parents or legal guardians
Licensed agents
Clubs and academies
Individuals transitioning out of football
Any Referring Party confirms that they have lawful authority to make an enquiry or referral and, where applicable, to share information.
Chance Partnership may rely on such confirmation without further verification.
6. Work With Minors
Where Services involve individuals under 18 years of age:
Written consent from a parent or legal guardian may be required
Safeguarding obligations will apply at all times
Confidentiality may be limited by safeguarding and legal duties
Chance Partnership reserves the right to refuse, restrict, or terminate Services where safeguarding requirements cannot be satisfied.
7. Confidentiality
All information shared during engagement is treated as confidential.
Information will not be disclosed to Referring Parties, clubs, agents, or other third parties without the Client’s consent, except where:
There is a safeguarding concern
There is a reasonable belief of risk of harm
Disclosure is required by law or regulation
Chance Partnership exercises sole discretion in determining when disclosure is required.
8. Safeguarding and Duty of Care
Chance Partnership operates in accordance with safeguarding best practice and duty of care obligations.
Where safeguarding concerns arise, Chance Partnership may:
Take protective action
Make referrals to appropriate safeguarding bodies
Disclose information as required by law
Such actions do not constitute a breach of confidentiality.
9. Relationship With Agents, Clubs, and Academies
Chance Partnership operates independently.
Engagement does not create:
An employment relationship
An agency relationship
A partnership or joint venture
Any duty to act on behalf of an agent, club, or academy
Chance Partnership does not:
Interfere with contractual relationships
Provide advice on contracts, transfers, or negotiations
Act as an intermediary in employment or representation matters
10. Agent and Club Introductions
Where Services are introduced or facilitated by an agent or club:
Chance Partnership owes no contractual duty to the Referring Party unless expressly agreed in writing
The Client remains the primary beneficiary of Services
No referral fees, commissions, or inducements are payable unless agreed in writing
Referring Parties accept that Chance Partnership acts independently and in the best interests of the Client.
11. No Guarantees or Outcomes
Chance Partnership makes no guarantees regarding:
Outcomes
Performance
Career progression
Wellbeing improvement
Personal or professional results
All Services are provided on a best endeavours basis.
12. Fees and Payment
Where fees apply:
Fees will be agreed in advance
Invoices will be issued accordingly
Payment terms will be specified on the invoice
Chance Partnership reserves the right to suspend Services for non-payment.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Chance Partnership excludes all liability for decisions made by Clients
Chance Partnership is not liable for actions taken by third parties
Liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Termination
Chance Partnership may suspend or terminate Services at its discretion where:
These Terms are breached
Safeguarding concerns arise
Continued engagement is inappropriate or unsafe
Clients may discontinue Services at any time.
15. Intellectual Property
All website content, materials, and written resources remain the intellectual property of Chance Partnership unless otherwise stated.
No materials may be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
16. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the Privacy Policy published on the website.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Chance Partnership and any Client or Referring Party, unless a separate written agreement is entered into.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
